Abstract:
Experiments probing nature at distances as short as 10{-19} meters will take place over the next decade. A principal goal of these experiments is the exploration of electroweak superconductivity, the property of nature responsible for the short-range behavior of the weak interactions, as well as the masses of the quarks and leptons. I will give a gentle introduction to the weak interactions and their superconducting nature, and discuss some recent ideas for the origin of this superconductivity.
