High Energy Seminar Announcement Prof. Bruce Schumm UC Santa Cruz " Silicon Tracking at the Linear Collider " Date: Tuesday, April 26, 2005 416 Physics/Geology Time: 4:10 pm. Abstract: Dr. Schumm will present a generic motivation for silicon microstrips as an option for the central tracker of a detector at the International Linear Collider followed by a discussion of two options: short modules vs. long ladders. He will pursue some of the issues associated with the readout of long ladders, presenting some of the open questions that need to be answered for this approach.
