Abstract:

Since the first detection five years ago, weak gravitational lensing by large scale structure has emerged as an increasingly powerful probe of cosmology. I examine the current state of the art from a theorists point of view using numerical simulations, and speculate on the improvements that will be required if we are to constrain dark energy using future weak lensing surveys.
