" CLEO: A Beautiful Past and a Charming Future "
Date: Tuesday, March 8, 2005
416 Physics
Time: 4:10 pm.
Abstract:
This talk will present a brief historical introduction to the CLEO experiment. We will review some of the large contributions that CLEO has made to understanding the strong and weak interactions using the beauty quarks produced on the Upsilon resonances. We will then turn to the current and future CLEO program which is currently operating in the region of the Psi(3770) where D+Dbar are produced just above threshold. We review some of the physics which can be done using these clean samples and present recent results from analysis of these data.
