Dear California Physics Colleagues,

It is now time to get your students to register for the 2013 Northern
California Physics GRE bootcamp. The dates of the bootcamp will be

Saturday/Sunday September 7/8 2013.

starting at 8:30 AM on Saturday the 7th. Those who register will enjoy
the bootcamp program, five meals, and lodging (for those from out of
town) courtesy of the bootcamp supporters, which includes the Division
of Physical and Biological Sciences, the Graduate Division, and the
Chancellor's Office. Please have your students register soon (SPACE
IS LIMITED!) at

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1JS5kXbyJIvGCGpuYBM4IjTpKJO9VwEHqAqyBk2UBwVM/viewform

Please note that, as long as space is available, there are two choices
of rooms. One is a campus dorm room, single-occupancy with a shared
bathroom, for which students must bring their own linens and towels. The
other is a hotel room (Hotel Paradox) that offers all of the amenities
of a good hotel but will be shared between two people. Hotel Paradox
is off-campus and attendees will be responsible for getting onto campus.
Housing choices will be met as long as space is available. Lodging is
offered for Friday and Saturday nights, and meals will be provided
Saturday breakfast through Sunday lunch.

Parking is somewhat remote, and attendees will want to leave an additional
20-30 minutes to work their way up onto the main campus and find the camp.
Instructions will follow as to how to obtain permits.

Parking will likely be available in the Core West Structure, Bldg #112 on

http://maps.ucsc.edu/sites/default/files/UCSC%20Campus%20Parking%20Map.pdf

The bootcamp itself will take place in the Interdisciplinary Sciences
Building, a few buildings to the right and down on the above map.

I hope to see many students here in September. Should questions arise,
I may be contacted at
