  Wtot is total number of points accumulated for all homeworks (Nw)
  Qtot is total number of points accumulated for all quizes (Nq)
  C1 is number of points accumulated for Common Exam 1
  C2 is number of points accumulated for Common Exam 2
  C3 is number of points accumulated for Common Exam 3
  F is number of points accumulated for the Final Exam.
 
  Preliminary grading policy: if your G number falls between the numbers below, your grade will be
 
  A : 90-100 points
  B+: 81-89 points
  B : 72-80 points
  C+: 64-71 points
  C : 55-63 points
  D : 40-54 points
  F : < 40
 

Common Exam # 1 Information


  The Common Exam # 1 will occur on Friday, October 4, 2002 from 8:30am till 9:55am,
 
  Section 007 is tested at ECEC 100.
  Section 009 is tested at ECEC 115. (ECEC - Electrical and Computer Engineering Center)
 
  Format of the exam: 16 multiple choice problems (5 points each), 2 workout problems (10 points each), max. number of accumulated points is 100. The exam should be considered as passed if the # of points accumulated is at least 50, i.e. at least 50% of solved problems.
 
  If you have another Common exam exactly at the same date and time or you have another valid excuse, please report it to savrasov@oak.njit.edu as soon as possible in order to have the exam rescheduled at a later time.
 
  Part of the October 2, 2002 lecture will be devoted to reviewing the exam material and sample exam problems. Please make an effort to attend!

Common Exam # 2 Information


  The Common Exam # 2 will occur on Friday, November 1, 2002 from 8:30am till 9:55am,
 
  Section 007 is tested at ECEC 100.
  Section 009 is tested at ECEC 115. (ECEC - Electrical and Computer Engineering Center)
 
  Format of the exam: 16 multiple choice problems (5 points each), 2 workout problems (10 points each), max. number of accumulated points is 100. The exam should be considered as passed if the # of points accumulated is at least 50, i.e. at least 50% of solved problems.
  Extra credit problems: total 5 extra credit problems on the material of the Common exam 1 will be given. The accumulated points will be added to the grade of the Common exam 1.
  0 problems solved -> +0 % (points) to common 1 grade
  1 problems solved -> +0 % (points) to common 1 grade
  2 problems solved -> +6 % (points) to common 1 grade
  3 problems solved -> +13 % (points) to common 1 grade
  4 problems solved -> +19 % (points) to common 1 grade
  5 problems solved -> +25 % (points) to common 1 grade
