The Physics Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (closed from 12-1 pm). Our Main Office is located on the first floor in room 174 Physics Building; phone 530-752-1500.
The Cosmology group is located on the 5th floor (east wing) of the Physics Building, on the Davis campus.
Directions
From I-80, take the UC Davis exit, turn in the direction of campus on Old Davis Road and proceed past the Information Booth. Continue straight towards the Mondavi Center where the road becomes New Davis Road. Visitor parking is available in Visitor Parking Lots everyday, and in Parking Lots on weekends except during special events.
Maps
Campus maps and visitor information are available at the Walter A. Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center. For more maps and directions online, please see the general campus map or the campus map of the Physics/Geology Building. The campus map also has links to information about directions and parking. There is usually plenty of visitor parking in lot VP1 and VP2.
Transportation
UC Shuttle Bus to/from Berkeley. (Visitors to UCD from non-UC institutions can also use this bus by prior arrangement.)
The Sacramento Airport is a short shuttle or taxi ride away.
Amtrak services along the Bay Area-Sacramento corridor stop at the Southern Pacific rail station which is a short walk from the department. (Search the Amtrak schedule using codes: Davis=DAV, Berkeley=BKY, San Francisco Ferry Bldg.=SFC)
